The Topaz Resort started out as a family dream with the Dykes family. Gary and Tamera Dykes envisioned developing a piece of property at Topaz Lake for everyone to enjoy. They set off developing this dream with four kids in tow and purchased four acres on the southern end of Topaz Lake, what is now known as the Topaz Resort.
The dream took a dramatic setback with the unexpected death of “Tammy”. Fast forward to approximately 10 years ago when Gary entered a partnership with Pam and Frank Hunewill, the current managers of the property. The Hunewill’s shared the same thoughts and beliefs as Gary and the development of the dream came to life again. Topaz lake is truly a “Hidden Gem” located approximately seventy miles south of Reno Nevada and forty-five minutes from Lake Tahoe.
The Topaz Resort is one of those go to locations where pictures do not say enough. Once you have visited us you will fully understand the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the peacefulness of the lake and the serenity of the property. Candlelight and Roses is a family-operated wedding business that specializes in exquisite and fun wedding floral designs and wedding coordination. We started our business in 2000 in a small design area in my garage with a homemade flower cooler. Since then we have become one of the top wedding florists in Northern Nevada providing exceptional service to hundreds of bridal couples per year.
